NE Tarrant Tea Party is remembering Texas’ victory in San Jacinto with a “Texas Proud! Texas Tough!” celebration! We believe the spirit of the Texas Revolution is alive and well in our great state, and we want to keep fanning that flame of independence.
Our Texas Tough speakers include local celebrity and conservative activist Glenn Beck, Texas’ most conservative US Congressman Louis Gohmert, and the man responsible for defending Texas from the infringement of the federal government Attorney General Ken Paxton. Many elected officials from around North Texas will be in attendance, as well as candidates for office at various levels.
The event takes place on Saturday, April 23, in Colleyville. It begins with a VIP reception where guests can mingle and get photos with the speakers, and continues with a fajita buffet and program. Festivities continue on into the night with live country dancing and a cash bar.
NETTP was excited to add AG Ken Paxton to the line-up just this week after learning that he will be returning from DC where he is laying out arguments in court for a 26-state coalition against President Obama’s unlawful immigration policies. President Julie McCarty stated, “General Paxton represents exactly the spirit we are highlighting at our event… that Texas pride and insatiable taste for independence. We’re honored to host him.”
NE Tarrant Tea Party is widely recognized as one of the largest and most active tea parties in Texas. “We are hopeful that this event will raise the funds needed to cover organizational expenses for the next two years,” said Fran Rhodes, VP of Fundraising. “We’ve got top-notch speakers with a message that resonates with grassroots conservative activists, and we’re all looking forward to a fun night.”
