Hope Pregnancy Center Sews Moral Fiber into Van Zandt County
Hundreds gathered at the Canton Civic Center Saturday evening to support, encourage, and once again celebrate the accomplishments of Hope Pregnancy Center (HPC) of Canton, Texas.
The testimonies of HPC clients outlined clearly that the Lord is using the ministry of HPC to draw people to Himself.
Robert and Whitney trusted HPC and the results changed their lives and the life of their daughter. After suffering numerous miscarriages, much stress had taken a toll on their marriage and gave no hope of a viable pregnancy. New to the area, Robert and Whitney had no support to help them when they found out they were once again pregnant. With no health insurance, they turned to HPC for help. The free ultrasound provided, gave them them the courage to keep going. The parenting classes and donations they received gave them what they needed to make a home for their infant daughter and inspired them to give back to HPC. The scriptural instruction acquainted them with a God who provides and knows all their needs even in times of difficulty. Their daughter Anne was born Dec. 6th by God’s grace.
In the midst of the death culture in which we live, where abortion is the norm and women now feel victimized by motherhood since the influence of Roe v. Wade, the instating of many inequitable laws, and sexual revolution transformed our thinking, right here in the heart of Van Zandt county lies a gem called Hope Pregnancy Center, where trained client advocates unashamedly share the law and gospel of Jesus Christ along with practical parenting lessons.
The morally confused are discipled with scripture and acquainted with the physical, psychological, and spiritual consequences of aborting their unborn children. If willing, they’ll learn what God’s intended purpose is for parenthood and unborn babies and the future He has in store for them.
HPC helped Jessica gain the moral backbone she needed to face her current sphere of influence, all who were advising her to kill her child. She changed her association, a decision influenced by the counsel and biblical direction of HPC. She also stated plainly that the addictions she had were no longer something she chose to be involved with. She has moved on with a clearer perspective of the future equipped to be a better mother to her 14-year-old and new born. “I turned from my selfish ways and put others first now.”
The foundation of HPC’s work is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the outworking is beautiful. A culture transformed by the grace of God has no need for the abortion industry. Sharing the gospel is a common occurrence at HPC.
If you’d like to be a part of the work of Hope Pregnancy Center, volunteers and financial support are a constant need. Join those who are rallying around HPC helping them to meet their monthly budget and extend their work in to neighboring Kaufman and Henderson counties. Monthly contributions are more than welcome. Sonograms are donated and cost a mere $25. A small monthly donation could mean hope and life for some of our most vulnerable community members.
Investing in HPC is one way to turn the tide.
