Don’t Worry; Be Happy Part 2
Let’s start with some scripture, Philippians 4:6-8 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
I hear you. I hear you! It’s easier said than done. You say, “Angela, You have no idea what I’ve been through”. I get it. Many of us have horrible stories! Most of us have pressure in life. Many of us are carrying a dark truth about our past or even our current situation! And each of us in our own pressure has legitimate reasons to worry, or so we have convinced ourselves. We have to understand that anxiety and depression are like a cancer to our mind, will and emotions. It can cripple our dreams and kill our hopes for a normal life. This is why this scripture is so important.
Statistically 1-3 people have experienced abuse of some kind. 1-13 suffer from anxiety. WHAT?!!! This is a staggering reality for most Americans! We all carry a lot on our shoulders. But we weren’t created to live that way. God has a plan for us to overcome all the pressures of this world. I don’t come here to say…. Read more here….
