Kaufman County Master Gardeners Presents: Drought Defying Landscapes
The Kaufman County Master Gardeners are having a seminar on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 414 W. Broad Street, Forney. Dr. Dotty Woodson, Extension Program Specialist for Water Resources with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will present a program on Drought Defying Landscapes – Making Beautiful Yards When Water Is Scarce.
Want a gorgeous yard? Find out how to make your yard the envy of your neighbors without high water bills. Join Dr. Dotty Woodson as she guides us through the confusion of creating and maintaining an attractive landscape in a time of increasing water scarcity. Learn about plants with lower water requirements, cultural practices to conserve moisture, rainwater harvesting and other water-collection and conservation methods. Additional printed information, including plans for making a rain barrel and planning drip irrigation, will be available.
The cost is $5.00 per person with light refreshments served.
