Tigers Clawed Their Way Past Hillsboro
The Wills Point High School Tigers made homecoming day special by clawing their way past the Hillsboro High School Eagles. The Tigers hosted the Eagles for Friday Night Lights on October 5, 2018. At halftime the score was 26-13. During halftime the stands came alive as Sonya Dominguez was crowned the Wells Point High School (WPHS) Homecoming Queen for the 2018 football season.
This year’s Homecoming nominees were:
- Hope Turner
- Paige Lyons
- Elizabeth Cockerham
- Dawn Smith
When the Tigers took the field during the second half, they struggled to get things started, but they never quit and pulled off the win. In the spirit of homecoming Tigers…OTSS! (Only the Strong Survive!)
Clearly, the coaches hard work reorganizing the offensive and defensive lines has paid off with great success. Awesome job coaches! Hats off to the Athletic Department.
Bullard High School is on a 4-game losing streak and will be fighting hard for their first win of the season as the Tigers take them on in Bullard. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
