Edgewood High School protected their perfect record, boosting it to 4-0 with an overwhelming win of 62-19 on Friday night, October 5, 2018, against Scurry-Rosser High School. The Edgewood Bulldogs showed no fear as they took the field and caged the Wildcats. A very clean 4-0 record so far!
Prior to the game, the community fired up during the homecoming parade and pep rally, bar-b-q dinner, and the crowning of the homecoming king and queen. The Edgewood Bulldogs showed no fear as they took the field and caged the Wildcats. A very clean 4-0 record so far! The parade started at 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon as people lined the streets. The parade started at the Cheatham United Methodists Church, ending with the Edgewood Pharmacy, Edgewood Drug. This year Jordan Davidson and Alexia Sharp were crowned king and queen.
The mums were pretty, and as always, big! Everything is bigger in Texas and the Mums are no exception. Almost everything can decorate the mums: from ribbons and stuffed animals, to crosses and initials with rhinestones. No mum is complete without the student’s name and classification of high school year. But do not think there is an age limit on mums. They decorate the young and the mature.
Rounding out the festivities, the Bulldogs scored most of their points during the first half; it was 50-12 by the half. Wow, what a blowout! The Edgewood Bulldogs now have the drive to take on Gateway Charter Academy. The Bulldogs and Gators will meet up this Friday October 12, 2018. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. at the Gateway Charter Academy football field.
